Support
Questions about Chronly, your subscription or your data? The answers to the common ones are below. For anything else, write to us.
Contact us
We read every message and reply by email. You can also write from the app: Profile ▸ Contact us.
Please don't send health details you don't need to. To help with a problem, we only need to know what happened and which iPhone and iOS version you use.
Subscription and billing
Your subscription is managed by Apple. In the app, go to Profile ▸ Subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions ▸ Chronly. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Yes, on day 5 of your 7-day trial, if you allow notifications. If you don't, a card on your check-in screen shows when the trial ends instead.
Payments go through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple, not by Chronly. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Sign in with the same Apple ID, then tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen.
No. Apple keeps billing until you cancel the subscription yourself, as described above.
Your data
Your check-ins (symptoms, sleep, stress and meals) stay on your iPhone. Only food scans reach our server, which is in the EU.
Because they live on your phone, deleting the app deletes them. They are included in your iPhone's own backup, so restoring a backup onto a new phone brings them back. To keep a copy of your own, use Profile ▸ Your data ▸ Export my data.
Go to Profile ▸ Your data ▸ Export my data. Chronly builds one file with your check-ins, your scans and your profile, and you choose where to save or send it. The file isn't encrypted, so anyone you send it to can read everything in it.
When you scan a photo of a meal or of an ingredient list, the photo is sent to OpenAI to identify the food. Only the photo: not your name, your account or your conditions. Chronly asks before the first photo is sent, and you can switch it off at any time under Profile ▸ Your data ▸ Photo recognition by OpenAI. Barcode scans work without it.
Go to Profile ▸ Your data ▸ Delete my profile. You confirm with Sign in with Apple, and Chronly then deletes your account, your scans and the logs on your phone. This can't be undone, so export your data first if you want to keep it. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription.

Using Chronly
Insights compare what you have logged over time, so they only appear after several weeks of check-ins. Until then, Insights shows what published research says about your conditions.
Yes. On a photo scan's result, tap Edit items, correct what was recognised, and the score is recalculated from your correction.
Some products aren't in the food databases we use, or don't list enough of their ingredients. Chronly then offers to read the ingredient list from a photo of the package. If too little of the label can be recognised, it says so rather than guess.
It's explained in full on our methodology page.
If you feel unwell
Chronly can't give medical advice and doesn't replace your doctor or care team. If a symptom worries you, contact them. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU).
